William Edward "Breeze" Hamilton, Jr.

April 9, 1954 — November 8, 2024

Morgan, Texas

William Edward "Breeze" Hamilton, Jr. left this world on November 8, 2024, in Morgan, Texas, surrounded by his devoted wife, Brenda Hamilton.

Born on April 9, 1954, in McGregor, Texas, William was raised and educated in California before making the significant move to Texas at the age of 18, where he would go on to spend fulfilling years.

His career was marked by a deep commitment to his work; he contributed to several ranches and dedicated a remarkable 33 years of his professional life to Texas Lime and Mineral. Breeze's industrious spirit was matched only by his passions outside of work. A lover of animals, fishing, and the beautiful outdoors, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Breeze was a dedicated fan of the Texas Longhorns as well as the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also an accomplished baseball player in his younger years even getting a little league ring and was one win away from winning the LLWS.

Breeze is remembered fondly by his surviving family, including his beloved wife, Brenda, and his sisters, Belinda Smith and her husband Fred, and Lucinda Strickland along with her family. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Steve Stapp and his wife Cindy, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews: Lacie Facer and her husband Ben, Jennifer, Josh, Brian, Jack, and Zoe. Breeze was a proud uncle to great-nephews Cannon and Nixon, and he valued the bonds he shared with a number of cousins, friends, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.E. Hamilton, Sr., and Verna Lee Lechler Shawl, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.

A graveside service to celebrate Breeze's life will be held at Kimball Cemetery in Kopperl, Texas, on November 11, 2024. Bro. Phil Murphy will officiate. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather at 10:00 AM to honor and remember a man who truly embraced life in all its forms.
