Traci McWhirter age 47, of Artesia, New Mexico and formerly of Meridian, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2018 at her residence.
Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Meridian Civic Center in Meridian, Texas. Family will conduct the service.
Traci McWhirter was born on the 21st day of January 1971 to Gerald Bryan Faries and Cherry Slaton in Coleman, Texas. She married the love of her life Ronald McWhirter on December 23, 1993 in Coleman, Texas. The family moved to Artesia, New Mexico from Meridian, Texas in 2003. On December 23, 1993 she married the love of her life (that was the best decision of her life) and she never regretted a moment. Cody and Gage and the grandchildren were the light of her life. She never turned a deaf ear or a blind eye to the boys. She spoiled the grandchildren with all she had. Traci was always the life of the party. Even during her hard times she never asked for help or complained. She was a person with whom you liked or you didn't, and it made her no difference. She could always make you laugh even when you were crying. Traci said what was on her mind and didn't care who was listening or how many people were around. But if you were one of the lucky ones to be called her friend that was an honor. She was a mother to more than just her boys. She was loved by many. Traci was there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. She would go to battle for the ones she loved. No one ever messed with her loved ones. In the year of 1988 she met her extended family. Which later became family instead of friends. She will live in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.
