Tommy Lee Mitchell, 59, passed away on November 8, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Walnut Springs. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Walnut Springs.

Tommy Mitchell was born on September 23, 1962, in Glen Rose, Texas, to Edmon Mitchell and Betty Bourland. He passed away at the age of 59 on November 8, 2021, in Morgan, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Edmon Mitchell; mother, Betty Watson; sister, Betty Ann Fowler and husband Earnest, sister-in-law, Connie Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Mitchell of Walnut Springs, Texas; son, Codey Mitchell of Walnut Springs, Texas; son, Andy Mitchell of Walnut Springs, Texas; daughter, Ashley Golightly and husband, Michael Golightly of Morgan, Texas; daughter, Brittney Mitchell of Walnut Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Zachary, Cameron, Hailey and great-grandson Ryder, Larissa, Brynleigh, Ryder, Greyson, Irelyn and soon to be born, baby Huxyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy Mitchell of Glen Rose, Texas, Jerry Mitchell and wife, Janet of Cleburne, Texas,  Bobby Mitchell and wife, Sherry of Bridgeport, Texas, Tracy Elliston of Throckmorton, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Speer and husband, Tommy of Meridian, Texas, Carlyn Speer and husband, T.C. of Walnut Springs, Texas, Linda Jones and husband, George of Lakeside Village, Texas, Brenda Collins and husband, Mike of Springfield, Missouri, Judy Kirby and husband, Doug of Eastland, Texas, and  Janie Mitchell of Eastland, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Mitchell, Jerry Mitchell, Zachary Mitchell, Colton Mitchell, Eddy Speer, Ethan Mitchell, David Rhodes, Randy Lamb, Farris Vaughn, Ray Uloth, John Vara.

Honorary pallbearers are Andy Mitchell, Codey Mitchell, Michael Golightly, Greyson Dilworth, Mike Gillentine.
