Thelma Pauline "Polly" Hanshew, age 96 of Iredell, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Meridian, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Iredell, Texas. Pastor Neil Wade will officiate. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell, Texas. Visitation will be from 3 P.M. until 5 P.M., Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian, Texas. Pallbearers will be Preston Crabb, Troy Fouts, Cody Fouts, Payne Crabb, Terry Hanshew, and Donnie Hanshew.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hanshew and Dick Benoit.

Thelma Pauline Parker was born on September 26, 1922 in Iredell, Texas to John and Jannie Pickard Parker. She married Willie Loyd Hanshew on June 7, 1941 in Iredell, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iredell.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Kay Fouts and husband, Joe, of Iredell; grandchildren, Terry Hanshew, Donnie Hanshew, Troy Fouts, and Melissa Crabb; daughter-in-law, Linda Hanshew of Iredell; 7 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyd Hanshew and a son, Larry Hanshew
