Shelley Anne Whitfield

Shelley Anne Whitfield, age 67 of Iredell, passed away on Thursday morning, August 23, 2018 in a Waco hospital after a brief illness.

Graveside services are going to be 4:30 P.M., Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. John McGinnis will conduct the service. Pallbearers are going to be Morgan Whitfield, Lane Whitfield, Hunter Sheffield, Josh Croix, J.J. Croix, Jacob Croix.

Shelley was born May 21, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She was a daughter of the late Leon and Betty Joy Priddy Wiersman.  Shelley was united in marriage to Coy L. Whitfield on June 28, 1969, in Houston, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Coy, of Iredell; son, Brian Whitfield of Iredell; daughter, Wendi Sheffield of Iredell; grandchildren, Lane Whitfield, Courtney Whitfield, Morgan Whitfield, Hunter Sheffield and Gracey Sheffield; sisters, Robin Croix of Houston, Linda Spradling of Houston and Kathly Whitbey of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Betty Joy Priddy Wiersman.
