Sheila Jan Hart

Sheila Jan Hart of Meridian, Texas passed away July 19, 2024. There will be a graveside service on Monday, July 22nd at 10:00am at the old Meridian Cemetery on S. Hill Street, with Pastor Greg Sipes officiating under the direction of Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be David Murry, Dustin Walker, Trenton Underwood, Lyle Thurston, Chris Hart, and Chad Hart. 

She was born on August 30, 1960, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Jon Wayne Fulfer and Carolyn Louise Daulton. She grew up in Iowa Park, Texas and she graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1978. She attended The University of Texas at Dallas where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992. She worked for Price Waterhouse Coopers for 36 years until she retired in 2021. 

Sheila loved all her kids and especially poured her love into her stepdaughter, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and their children. There wasn’t a stranger that ever met her. You certainly never left her without a smile. She was enthusiastic about learning and life. Her passion was to love and care and the legacy she leaves will always show through her family. She loved all things shopping, nails, and lashes. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Lester and their two dogs Bailey and Bodie on their cozy rustic ranch home they built together where they run cattle. But most of all she enjoyed out fishing Lester every time they set out on the water. 

She is survived by her husband, Lester, her stepdaughter Lynsey Murry and husband David, sisters Shandra Underwood and Kristie Sipe and husband Greg, brother Larry Fulfer, nephews Dustin Walker and wife Crystal, Trent Underwood, Andrew Fulfer, nieces Shanda Underwood and Shelby Thurston and husband Lyle, grandchildren Cayson Murry, Rylan Murry, and Kynslee Murry, and numerous cousins and friends.
