Sandra Montgomery

Sandra Montgomery age 78, of Glen Rose passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Rainbow Baptist Church in Rainbow, Texas. Rev. Joe Phillips will conduct the service. Private family only burial will follow at the Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Dick, Austin Montgomery, Miles Montgomery, Colton Montgomery, Bobby Montgomery and Cliff Montgomery.

Sandra Giesecke was born on September 3, 1938 in Greenville, Texas to Austin and Veda Mae Dye Giesecke. Most of her life she lived in Glen Rose. Sandra graduated from Glen Rose ISD. She married Dale Montgomery on November 28, 1957 in Winnie, Texas. After all of her children were out of school she started working for the County Tax Assessor/Collector and the Sherriff office and later was selected as the Chief Appraiser of Somervell County Appraisal District. She retired after several years of dedicated service in 1997. During her free time she loved to sew, do needle work, camping and fishing.

Left to cherish Sandra's memories are her husband, Carlton Dale Montgomery of Glen Rose; children, Clifford Ray Montgomery and wife, Kristi, of Weatherford, Bobby Jack Montgomery and wife, Carrie, of Glen Rose, Dee Anne Dick and husband, Larry, of Granbury; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
