Ruth Ann McCallister

Ruth Ann McCallister age 92, of Kopperl, passed away on July 27, 2023 in Clifton Texas.

Visitation will be held at Lawson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. Graveside services will be held on July 31, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Kopperl Cemetery. Bro. Richard Creech will officiate.

Ruth Ann was born on March 22, 1931 in Kopperl, Texas to Lewis Day and Thelma Smith. She married Johnnie Lee McCallister in October of 1948. Ruth loved painting, traveling to Colorado, and traveling in their motorhome with her sisters and their husbands.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Anderson and Jerrie Kemper; son, John McCallister and wife Gloria; Lee Ann Biggs and husband Rowdy, Pat Young and husband Joel, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Johnnie Lee McCallister, parents; Lewis and Thelma Day, sister; Sue Archer, daughter; Robin Steer, Grandson; Billy John Heath Richardson.
