Ruby Merle (Theiss) Dozier

Ruby Merle "Nanny" Dozier age 93, of Meridian, Texas, passed away on June 16, 2023 in Waco, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Burial will be private following the service.

Ruby was born on October 6, 1929 in Houston, Texas to Ernest Gustav Theiss and Ada Baker Theiss. She was married to H.D. Dozier and they enjoyed the ranch and home where they raised their children. Her foundation of love and caring is etched into everyone that had the pleasure to know her. She had a welcoming spirit. Often seen cooking up something for any and everyone that enjoyed a Dozier Ranch visit. She had a kindness to her and was very protective, loyal, loving and giving.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Debby Nichols, Denise Dozier, Stanley Dozier and wife, Linda, and Kathy Heller and husband, Todd; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren,

She will be greatly missed by all.
