Rodolfo "Rudy" Villarreal, Sr.

Rodolfo Hernandez Villarreal, 72, known to his friends and family as Rudy, of Meridian, passed away early Friday morning, December 25, 2020. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m Tuesday December 29th, 2020 in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Morgan, Texas, with Father Xavier Silvadasan as the officiant. Burial will be in the Meridian Memorial Cemetery. Visitation hours will be during 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.  and a Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 28, 2020 in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian.

Rudy was born in Rocksprings, Texas to the late Beningo and Consuelo Villarreal on August 31st, 1948. He was united in marriage to Rosa Galindo  in Rocksprings, Texas. The couple lived there for many years before moving to Meridian where they owned and operated Rudy's Fencing Co. She was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Morgan.

He is survived by sons, Rodolfo Villarreal, Jr., of Meridian, and Diego Villarreal and wife, Angielena, of Frisco; daughter, Rozan Reina and husband, Gene, of Waco; seven grandchildren; sisters, Marisela Herrara and Alfredo Herrara of Austin, Rosa Cerda and husband Jesse Cerda of Rocksprings,Azusanna Cordova and husband Julio CordovaGriselda Aguillon and Husband Joventino Augillion; brother, Efrain Villarreal and wife Elena, of Meridian; Preceded in Death by brothers Robert, Hector and Belio Villarreal.
