Robert Bowen

Robert M. Bowen, age 51, of Morgan, passed away Tuesday evening, February 17, 2015, at his residence.

A memorial funeral service was held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian.

Robert was born July 16, 1963, on the Wright Air Force Base in Ohio. He was a son of Robert Lewis Bowen and the late Frankie Sue Causey Bowen. He moved at a young age to Burleson, Texas, where he attended school and graduated. For most of his life he had worked in the steel production industry and was presently working for Gerdau American Steel in Midlothian. On November 16, 2006, he was married to Tammy Lynn Moore in Meridian. Robert was a true outdoorsman and loved everything close to nature.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy, of Morgan; children, Jennifer Richmond and husband, Wayne, of Morgan, Britteny Scott of Colorado; parents, Robert and Carolyn Bowen of Morgan; brothers, Jerry Wayne Bowen and wife, Rebecca, of Morgan, Michael Olier of Ft. Worth; sister, Debbie Dean and husband, Daniel, of Maryland; grandchildren, Alexis and Bradley Richmond; number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Sue Causey Bowen and a sister, Evelyn K. McCoy.
