Richard Duane Barker age 78, of Fort Worth, passed away on February 2, 2021 in Burleson, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Lawson Funeral Home. Bro. Richard Creech will officiate. Burial will follow at Meridian Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Richard was born April 14, 1942 in Detroit Michigan but grew up and spent his entire life in Fort Worth. Richard retired after 33 years from Lockheed Martin as an aircraft inspector. Richard had a love for Harley Davidsons and classic cars, with his 1940 Ford Coupe being his pride and joy. Richard was a member of the Zingarro Motorcycle Group and spend much time traveling the backroads of Texas and many parts of the United States. Richard enjoyed going to Good Guys car shows as well as the bakery on Sunday mornings to talk old cars with his many friends. Richard was an avid reader of Fort Worth history and Texas history. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Catherine Davis; brothers, David Barker, and Donnie Davis; sisters, Doris Neystel, and Cathy Ann Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his father, William Davis; and brothers, William Daniel (Dub) Davis, Jr., and Richard Lee Davis.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
