Ralph K. Robinson, age 83, of Clifton, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015, from complications of vascular dementia. Following a private family burial at Clifton Memorial Park, a public memorial service will be held to honor Ralph's life at 2:00 P. M., Saturday, October 24th at the First Baptist Church, Clifton, Texas, with a reception to follow.
Ralph was born on March 17, 1932 at home in the Cayote-Womack community and graduated from Meridian High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan College and did graduate studies at Texas Christian University and the University of New Mexico. Ralph married Helen DeLano in 1953, who he met at college. After serving in the U. S. Marine Corps with duty stations in California, Virginia, Hawaii, and Okinawa, Robinson was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. Robinson worked for Amoco as a petroleum landman for over thirty-six years and retired in 1992 as Division Land Manager. In retirement, Ralph enjoyed traveling with family, cattle ranching, and continuing his oil and gas dealings.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Sorenson Robinson and Omar Robinson; his brother, Barry Robinson; and his sisters, Marjorie Manison and Kathlyn Bice. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Helen Delano Robinson; daughter, Kaye Johnson; son, Craig Robinson and wife, Dayna, all of Clifton; and four grandchildren, Melissa and Andrea Johnson, and Carly and Seth Robinson.
