Phillip "Phil" Warren Staley, Sr., age 82, of Lakeside Village, passed away on January 21, 2021 in Clifton, Texas.

Services will be private.

Phillip Warren Staley was born on April 18, 1938 in Lorena, Texas to Conley and Elsie Elena Warren Staley. He graduated from Lorena High School and after graduation he enrolled in Texas A&M University and received his certificate to become a Texas Game Warden. Phil held many jobs in the Law Enforcement field. He was a Deputy in Johnson County, head of security at General Dynamics, Texas Game Warden, and also became Sherriff of Bosque County. During his free time he enjoyed fishing and wood working. He will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Joe Staley, Connie Harlan and husband, Bob, Conley Staley and wife, Kelly, Susan Lapinski and husband, Troy, John Staley and wife, Page, Chris Gosdin, Rob Gosdin; grandchildren, Parker Staley, Drake Staley and wife, Brandy, Shay Staley, Morgan Staley, Eric Brooks, Meagan Brooks, Jancy Page, Summer Hoskins, LaurieLee Gosdin and fiance, Jordan Eppler; great-grandchildren, Carter, Amber, Cayden, Trynity, and Camryn; sister, Melva Miller; special friend, Jo Ann St. Clair; other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Staley; parents; and son, Phillip Staley, Jr.
