Ophelia E. Offutt Nunn, age 75, of Crowley, passed away Friday evening, December 12, 2014, in a Ft. Worth hospice house.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, Dec. 16, in the Fulton Cemetery near Walnut Springs. The family will have a visitation from 12 noon
until service time Tuesday at the Lawson Memorial Chapel in Walnut Springs.
Rev. Todd J. Joyner will officiate.
Ophelia was born Feb. 9, 1939, near Walnut Springs, Texas, a daughter of the late T.P. and Susie Fullerton Offutt. She graduated from Walnut Springs High School. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Ft. Worth and began her career with Southwestern Bell Telephone, now ATT. She worked there for 33 years as an operator and supervisor. She married Billy C. Nunn in 1964 and he preceded her in death in 2011.
She loved to garden, cross stitch and to travel with her husband to Mountain View, Arkansas.
She is survived by a sister, Lorene Gilleland, of Walnut Springs; brothers, R.F. Gosdin and wife, Lois, of Glen Rose and William Offutt and wife, Kay, of Walnut Springs; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
