Norris Allen Wood

August 21, 1970 — August 4, 2020

Killeen, Texas

It is with great sadness that the family of Norris Allen Wood announces his passing. Norris, age 49, passed away at his home in Iredell, Texas on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Norris was born to Clarence and Geraldine Wood on August 21, 1970 in Killeen, Texas. Like any true Texan, Norris spent his life enjoying the great outdoors.  If he wasn’t fishing, hunting or just picking on one of his grandchildren, he was yelling for his favorite boxer.  If he was watching boxing you could hear him from the next room cheering, celebrating and fist pounding until the very end of the fight.  Norris was the type of guy that never met a stranger, and would do anything in the world for someone.  Always willing to lend a hand, and never asking for anything in return.  He loved to cook! Especially for his family.  Norris is survived by his wife Brenda; step children Angie, Sherry and husband Kevin, and William; Children Michael, Charity, and Ryan; grandchildren Kristen, Whitney, Hunter, Gracie, Sierra, Kamrin, Alex and Krystian; great grandchildren Bentley and Addison. He is also survived by his siblings David and wife Cindy, Mark and wife Vicki, Dale and wife Nancy, Sandra, Audrey, Valerie and husband Dwayne, Mary and husband Tom; and many nieces and nephews.

Norris is preceded in death by his mother Geraldine, father Clarence, and brother Billy.

His contagious laughter, “best French toast you ever had” breakfast, and constant willingness to help will be greatly missed.
