Modelle Damron Clowers, 94, of Ennis, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at an Ennis hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M., Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Fulton Cemetery near Walnut Springs, Texas, with Bondy and Gayle Mays officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, also at Fulton Cemetery.
Modell was born on September 2, 1923 in Walnut Springs, Texas to Ernest Lee and Ruby Exa Ownbey Damron. She attended school in Walnut Springs and later finished in Iredell. In August of 1944, she married Eldon Clowers. The couple lived in Walnut Springs for several years before moving to Bedford. Modell lived in Bedford for 58 years before moving to Palmer about 3 years ago to be with her daughter.
Left to cherish her memories are her duaghter, Jackie Hamm and husband, David; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Ernestine Gilbreath and Mollie Sue Ward; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruby Damron; husband, Eldon Clowers; daughter, Joyce Faye Clowers; son, Freddy Ernest Clowers, Sr., sisters, Athelle Damron Newbrough, Myrtle Doris Damron Mananey, Lucy Ellen Damron Gordon; and brother, Kenneth Reece Damron.
