Melba Herridge

Melba Joyce Herridge, 81, of Meridian, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, in the Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M,, Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in the Board Branch Cemetery near Llano, Texas. Mr. Robert Herridge officiating.

Joyce was born April 26, 1936, in Belton, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Archie White and Mary Robinson White. She was raised and educated in Lometa. On May 22, 1954, she was united in marriage to Douglas Carl Herridge in Houston, Texas. Her husband served in the military for 20 years and Joyce followed him to many places in the world. She had lived in Meridian since 1983. Joyce was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas Carl Herridge of Meridian; children, Monte Herridge of Meridian, Steven Herridge and wife, Linda, of San Antonio, Anthony Lynn Herridge of Meridian, and Diane Herridge of Meridian; grandchildren, Lilly and Lauren Herridge; sisters, Gay Juengerman of Houston, and Peggy Ponder of Houston; a number of nieces, nephews other relatives, and friends.
