Mary Beth Worley, age 74, of Kopperl, passed away on January 20, 2016 at her residence near Kopperl.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Kopperl First Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Martin officiating. A visitation was held from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 22, 2016 at Lawson Funeral Home. Interment was at the Kimball Cemetery near Kopperl.
Serving as her pallbearers were Don Worley, Keith Thomas, Steve Osborne, John Boswell, Duane Worley, David Thomas, George Boswell, Kirk Worley and Nathan Worley.
Mary was born on June 21, 1941 in Cleburne, Texas to William (Cunie) Whitt and Mae Adele Rogers Whitt. She attended and graduated from school in Cleburne. She was a member of the Field St. Baptist until she married Ray Worley and the couple moved to Kopperl. Ray and Mary Beth were united in marriage on May 12, 1961 in Cleburne, Texas. Together they joined the Kopperl First Baptist Church a week after they married and they have been faithful members ever since. Mary worked as an Instructional Aide for the Kopperl ISD for 27 years before retiring. Each child blessed her in a very special way. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Worley is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray Worley Sr., of Kopperl; daughter, Pam Morris and husband, Russell, of Kopperl; son, Ken Worley Jr., of Eulogy; grandaughters, Brittnie St. Peter and husband, Tom, of Lakeside Village, Kallie Morris of Los Colinas; great-grandson, Rustin Code St. Peter, of Lakeside Village; sisters, Ruth Thomas of Ducanville, Eileen Worley and husband, George, of Blum; brother, Jim Whitt and wife, Judy, of Big Foot, Texas, and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Cunie) and Mae Adele Roger Whitt.
