Mary Sellers

Mary Jo Sellers, age 96, of Morgan, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at a Clifton nursing facility.

Graveside funeral services were held on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at 5:30 P.M. at the Morgan Cemetery in Morgan, Texas, with Chaplain Ed Stauffer officiating. A visitation was held from 4:00 until 5:00 P.M., Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Kyle Williams, Ricky Seay, Joshua Seay, Jeremy Seay, Brett Jernigan, and Richard Derrick.

Mrs. Sellers was born on December 11, 1918 in Gatesville, Texas to Walter Allen and Ethel Hammonds Williams. She was educated in Gatesville. On December 24, 1935 she married Harry M. Sellers in Meridian, Texas. They lived throughout Bosque County their entire life. Mary was a member of the Steiner Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sellers' is survived by her daughter: Gloria Seay of Morgan; son-in-law: Travis Griffith of Morgan; grandchildren: Ricky Seay and wife, Mindia, of Morgan, Lisa Williams and Brett Jernigan, of Clifton, DeAnn Derrick and husband, Richard, of Cleburne, Dede Matus and husband, Steve, of China Spring; 8 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

Preceded in death by her husband: Harry Sellers; parents: Walter Allen and Ethel Hammonds Williams; daughter: Charline Griffith; son-in-law: Jerry Seay; brothers: Matt Williams, Dan Williams; and a sister: Carrie Townley.
