Martin L. Ortega age 65 of Walnut Springs, passed away on June 10, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Lawson Memorial Chapel in Walnut Springs. Chaplain Weldon Branhan will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. Visitation will be held from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Monday, June 14, 2021 also at Lawson Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers will be Blake Gomez, Dawson Gomez, Roland Ortega, Randall Griffin, Matthew Herrera, Mario Ballesteros, Toby Wilkins, Edward Villalovos, and Derek Saxon.

Martin L. Ortega was born on November 12, 1955 in San Angelo, Texas to Jose and Dominga Luera Ortega. He married Tammy Kelley on April 21, 1975 in Walnut Springs, Texas.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Tammy Ortega; children, Chris Ortega and Joanna Norman, Tina Gomez and Manny Rose; grandchildren, Blake Gomez and Lizzy, Dawson Gomez, Khloe Rose, Angel Norman; great-grandchildren, Wesson Smith, Tynlee Smith; sisters, Irma Ortega Villalovos and Lazaro Villalovos, Gregoria  Ortega Lerma; brothers, Delfino Ortega and Elodia Ortega, Julio L. Ortega and Zenaida Ortega; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by  his father, Jose R. Ortega; mother, Dominga L. Ortega; son-in-law, Robert Gomez, Jr.; mother-in-law, Edith (Nana) Kelley; sister, Ceclia Ortega; and brother, Jimmy Ortega.
