Marie Darlene Pogue

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Pogue, mother, aunt, and friend to so many on Oct 13, 2022 in Whitney, Texas.
She was born October 26, 1939 in Pensacola, Florida. She was married to William H. Pogue for many years, who proceeded her death in 1999.
Marie loved to help people, not just those she loved but anyone in need. She was always willing to share her home and provide meals to those who felt lost. Marie mostly showed her love through cooking and baking and would happily take requests from anyone in need of comfort food.
Her kindness had no boundaries. She spent her life being there for her family and friends, offering an ear to listen or supportive words of wisdom.
Marie was a dedicated and loyal mother first and foremost. She cherished her time with all her children.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Kelly Fulton, her two sons, William Scott Pogue and Clifford Pogue and many others that looked to her as a mother figure. She was a loving step-mother to four children and a warm-hearted aunt to four beautiful nieces and had many members of extended family she loved dearly. There were countless friends that she considered as part of her family and loved them all the same.
