Louis Walters, III

Louis W. "Bill" Walters III, age 75, of Meridian, passed away Thursday evening, October 22, 2015 in a Clifton care facility.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in the Meridian First Baptist Church with Rev. Drew Dabbs and Rev. Aaron Ogburn officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Bend/Coon Creek Cemetery near Laguna Park.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.

Louis was born on February 15, 1940 in Osceola, Arkansas to Louis William and Mary Elizabeth Crouch Walters. Louis married Sandra Smith on August 27, 1960 in Jacinto City, Texas. Louis was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Walters of Meridian; sons, William David Walters and wife, Amy, of Little Rock, AR and Robert Smith Walters and wife, Tiffany of Round Rock, TX; niece, Elizabeth Nicholson of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Tyler Grayson Walters, Ashtyn Annalise Walters, Ruth Ellen Walters, Rose Elizabeth Walters, Conner Yarbrough, and Riley Yarbrough.

Mr. Walters is preceded in death by his parents, Louis William Walters, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Crouch Walters; a sister, Sally Nicholson; his daughter, Lisa Anne; and a nephew, Brian Nicholson.
