Lewis Frank Harkcom age 74, of Walnut Springs, passed away on September 11, 2021 at his residence in Walnut Springs.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Brazos Point Cemetery near Kopperl. Pastor Seth Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Walnut Springs Memorial Methodist Church from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M., Thursday, September 16, 2021. Pallbearers will be Sammy Ortega, Alan Burch, Jonathon Ortega, Micah Duncan, Douglas Duncan, Logan Proschko, Craig Proschko, Harlan Harkcom, Larry Smitherman and Gary Smitherman.
Lewis Frank Harkcom was born on June 13, 1947 in Brazos Point, Texas to George M. and Johnnie B. Mears Harkcom. He married Mary Fitzjurls on May 20, 1989 in Everman, Texas. He worked in the construction industry as a dry wall installer for a number of years.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mary Harkcom; daughters, Tracie Bulliner, Stacie Burch and husband, Casey, Mistie Samsell and husband, Adam, Johnnie Billman and husband, Robert, Brandy Proschko and husband, Christopher; son, Michael Duncan and wife, Shanda; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bessie Smitherman and husband, Darel, Brenda Sue Smitherman and husband, Larry, Gena Cansler; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Johnnie Harkcom; brother, Harvey Harkcom; grandson-in-law, Jason Williams; and granddaugher, Porschia Billman.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
