Laura Josephine (Kilmer) Clark

Laura Josephine Clark age 88 of Walnut Springs passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in a Clifton nursing facility.

Memorial services will be 2 P.M., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Rev. TJ Joyner officiating.  Graveside service will be 2:30 P.M., Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Laura Josephine Kilmer was born on March 17, 1930 in Rosston, Oklahoma to O.E. and Ada Rice Kilmer. She attended school and graduated from Mabton High School in Mabton, Washington.  Laura later graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Spokane, Washington.  On December 26, 1954, she was united in marriage to Russell E. Clark,Jr.  in Mabton, Washington. She traveled the world thanks to her husband serving in the U. S. Air Force.  After his retirement, the couple moved to their farm near Walnut Springs in 1968.  Laura was employed with Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton for 30 years, 25 of those as Director of Nurses.  She was a member of the Glen Rose First Baptist Church.  Her family, friends and her Lord were very important to her. Her husband preceded her in death on November 24, 1987.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, William Clark and wife, Rene, of Walnut Springs; daughters, Barbara Massey of Fort Worth, Marilyn Clark of Temple; 6 grandchildren, Stacy Evans, Travis Massey, Joshua Clark, Karis Clark, Michaela Clark and Ean Clark; sister, Hazel Roberts of Sunnyside, Washington; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to American Bible Society, 101 North Independence Mall East FL8, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2155 or to Wycliffe Bible Translators, 7500 West Camp Wisdom Road, Dallas, Texas, 75236.
