Kevin Olen Jaeger age 60, of Meridian, passed away on February 3, 2022 at his residence in Meridian.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, February 11, 2022 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Pastor Brian Bagley will officiate. Burial will follow at the Meridian Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Thursday, February 10, 2022 also at Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Keith Jaeger, Kyle Jaeger, Alexander Saldana, Tyler Browning, Christopher Monk and Bryan Monk.
Kevin Olen Jaeger, age 60, was born in East St. Louis, Illinois. He graduated high school in Collinsville, Illinois. He moved to Texas in 1980 and married Laurie Vandervoort-Jaeger in 1984. They had 4 children who they raised together in Meridian. He worked for Ray Miller Construction and W-4 Ranches, INC and then started his own business called “Always Something” providing handyman and construction services. Kevin worked hard to provide for his family and loved working on his farm. He renovated every home his family lived in himself. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bonfires, camping and exploring the outdoors. He was quick to focus on the good in any situation and always encouraged people to keep learning and bettering themselves. He was kind and generous and always went out of his way to help those in need. He spent his last years enjoying time with his kids and grandkids and anyone else who stopped by his place to say hello.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy Jaeger, his sister, Pam Gray, brother, Scott Jaeger, Laurie Jaeger, daughters, Michelle Saldana and son-in-law Alexander Saldana, daughter Melissa Browning and son-in-law Tyler Browning, son, Keith Jaeger, son Kyle Jaeger and fiancé Clara Reyna, and grandchildren: Aj, Tabitha, Dezzerae, Ethan, Emily, Maggie and Eliana, and great-grandson Bentley and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and bonus kids and grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Olen Jaeger.
