Judy Ann Davis

Judy Ann Davis age 81, of Meridian, passed away on August 20, 2024 in Waco, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian, Texas. Rev. Darrell Phillips will officiate. Visitation will take place at Lawson Funeral Home one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs, Texas.

Judy Ann Harris was born on November 22, 1942 in Clifton, Texas. to Jim Tom and Kathleen Coombs Harris.  She was raised and educated in Walnut Springs and graduated from Walnut Springs High School. Judy was crowned homecoming queen from Walnut Springs 3 years in a row. During her time at Walnut Springs she enjoyed playing basketball. After high school she went to Texas Tech University for a short time before marrying Gary Slaughter. The couple welcomed Kirk Slaughter, Kim Slaughter and Kelli Slaughter. Judy and Gary made Odessa their home and opened up their business. Several years later she married Robert Bo Davis and they moved to Colorado to enjoy the mountains for twenty years until returning back and settling to East Texas. Judy and Bo enjoyed retirement life in East Texas until his passing. After his passing Judy moved back close to home to Meridian. She made her home for the last few years at Hilltop on Main Nursing Facility in Meridian. Judy enjoyed fishing and she was an avid MOJO football fan. She will be truly missed.

Left to cherish her memories are children, Kirk Slaughter and wife, Holly, Kim Slaughter and wife, Tammy, Kelli Lucas and husband, Ree; step-daughter, Christal Jordan; grandchildren, Kaisha Slaughter and fiancé, Chris Pilcher, Kolby Slaughter, Jake Slaughter, Jaden Slaughter, Ashton Hyman; step-grandsons, Jacob Jordan and Blake Jordan; great-granddaughter, Tatum Pilcher; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Tom and Kathleen Coombs Harris; Gary Slaughter and Robert Bo Davis.
