Joseph Nicholas Vanderlaan, Jr.

Joseph “Joe” Nicholas VanderLaan Jr. entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, October 22, 2021 in Waco, Texas.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Bosque County Cowboy Church in Meridian, officiated by Pastor Tater Paschal.

Joe was born April 5, 1952 in Cleburne, Texas to Fanny May and Joseph VanderLaan.  He married the love of his life, Donna Swift, on December 20, 1973.  Joe worked as a machinist for many years.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents.  Joe is survived by his wife, Donna Swift VanderLaan; sons Chris and Jason and wife Jennifer; granddaughter, Jayci Hirt; sisters Mary Thacker and Sally Stewart; and a host of other relatives and close friends.
