Joe Dale Whitefield

Joe Dale Whitefield age 72 of Iredell, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Rev. Jimmy Holleman will officiate. Burial will be at the Mitchell Cemetery in Iredell. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 16, 2018 at Lawson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ricky Bracy, Ronnie Whitefield, Robert Whitefield, Dustin Scott, Bobby Whitefield, Doug Walker, Cory White, and Jacob Stewart.

Joe Dale Whitefield was born on October 22, 1945 in San Angelo, Texas to Orville Newton and Rosalee Richter Whitefield. He married Joyce Alline Williams on August 6, 1966 in Brady, Texas.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Joyce Whitefield of Iredell; children, Ricky Bracy and wife, Jean, Ronnie Whitefield and fiance, Robin Miller, Robert Whitefield and wife, Sharon, Elisha Walker and husband, Doug, Keesha Scott and husband, Dustin; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Whitefield and wife, Sue; sister, Wanda Brown and husband, Spencer; special friend, Janie Stalling; numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Orville Newton and Rosalee Whitefield; sister, Geneva; and grandsons, Bradley and Jeremy Whitefield.
