Jimmy Charles Brown, age 74 of Plano and formerly of Meridian, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in a Plano Hospital.
Memorial services will be held on Friday at 2 P.M., November 30, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Meridian. Rev. Paul Whiteley will officiate.
Jimmy Charles Brown was born on April 21, 1944 in Meridian, Texas to Orval Eugene and Laverne Davis Brown. He spent his younger years in various parts of the world while his father was in the military, He called Meridian home and always came back to visit between when he could. While in school in Meridian, he met the love of his life, Lois Wiese and they married on April 5, 1963 in Meridian. Jimmy received a Bachelors of Business Adminstration form North Texas State while working full time and raising his family. He and Lois moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1992 and back to Texas in 2011, settling in Plano, Texas. Jimmy loved the Dallas Cowboys, beach camping, golf, poker, watching his grand kids in sports, iced tea and his Prowler His grandchildren were the LOVE of his life and would talk to anyone that would listen about those grand kids.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Lori Brown Holstrom and her husband, Robert,of Plano, Dina Brown Donley and husband, Doug, of Plano; grandchildren, Taylor Justine Holstrom, Tori Jannell Holstrom, Drew Donley, and Jake Donley, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Laverne Davis Brown; wife, Lois Wiese Brown; brother, Tommy Michael Brown; grandson, Douglas Drew Donley., grandparents Cy and Rema Davis, uncle, Thomas E. Davis and a cousin, Linda.
