Jimmie Felix Bachhofer, 79, of Kopperl Texas, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023 in Clifton, Texas. Jimmie was man of faith and devotion, he was born on February 5, 1944, in Kopperl, Texas to Edward Christopher Bachhofer and Oleta Collins. He married the love of his life, Juanita (Blondie) Jones on September 14, 1963, in Cleburne, TX, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories lasting 60 years.
Jimmie was skilled mechanic by trade, he retired from Trinity Industries where he was respected for his ingenuity and work ethic. A member of the Church of Christ and the Kopperl Masonic Lodge. He lived his life in service for his family and friends. Jimmie's hobbies included fishing, playing dominoes, tinkering in his shop, and enjoying coffee time with friends. He had a talent for inventing and an adventurous spirit, traveling around the United States with his wife, Blondie, and their two dogs. His love for music was evident as he often played guitar with family and friends.
Jimmie was a man who truly enjoyed life's simplest pleasures and encouraged others to do the same. He is remembered as a man who could fix anything, had a great sense of humor, was a mentor who offered sage advice, and a friend who always had time for others.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Oleta Bachhofer; his brothers Wayland, Merial, Melvin Bachhofer; and sister Cheri Gregor.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Blondie) Bachhofer, of Kopperl; his sons Cris Vasquez and wife Louise, of Maryland, and Jimmy Bachhofer and wife Terri, of Kopperl; his grandchildren, Neal Derrick, of Arkansas, Nicole Riddle and husband Jake, of Nemo and Brady Bachhofer and wife Madison, of Louisiana; great-grandchildren and Jaxon and Jenda Riddle, of Nemo, Jordan and Presley Derrick, of Arkansas and Deanna and Jon Malinsky, of Maryland.
Visitation will be held on December 16, 2023, at Lawson Funeral Home, 803 N. Main, Meridian, TX, at 1:00 pm followed at 2:00 pm by a memorial service.
