James (Jimmy) Hatton Burch, Jr. age 76 of Clifton, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Waco, Texas.
Memorial services will be 10 A.M., Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Clifton Church of Christ. Minister Steve Countryman will officiate. Visitation will follow the service.
James Hatton Burch, Jr., was born on July 5, 1942 in Clifton, Texas to James Hatton Burch, Sr., and Ruby Eloise Yoakum. Jimmy graduated from Meridian High School and Abilene Christian University. He married Janet Adams on June 8, 1963 in Meridian, Texas. He was the fourth generation on his family farm. He was a farmer and rancher most of his life. In 1966 he became partner in Evans Implements. Later he was elected County Commissioner and then served as the Public Works Director for the city of Clifton. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Jimmy served as an elder at the Clifton Church of Christ for 4 years.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janet; son, James Burch, III; grandchildren, Krista Burch, Wyatt Burch and fiance, Hannah, Breanna Burch, Emily Burch, and Hope Burch; number of other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, James Hatton Burch, Sr., and Ruby Eloise Yoakum; brother, Billy Burch; and son, Brian Burch.
