Harvey Joe Ohde "Junebug" Davenport

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Harvey Joe Ohde "Junebug" (Davenport), who left us on May 14, 2024. He was 60 years old.

Junebug , as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on May 14, 1964 to Harvey Lee Davenport Jr. and Mary Louise Davenport (Sadler) in Meridian, TX. He grew up in Meridian, TX , where he attended school. 

Despite his busy schedule, Harvey always made time for his family and friends. He was a loving and caring brother who was always there for his siblings whenever they needed him. He had a great sense of humor and always knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face and make them laugh.

In his free time, Harvey enjoyed playing bingo, talking on the phone, and being with family/friends, and he was always eager to share his knowledge and experiences with others.

Harvey  is survived by his siblings: Frances Hereford, Linda Davenport, Anita Davenport, Lavern Davenport, Gayle Edwards, Ian Devereaux, Rolanda Davenport, and Bradley Davenport, his spouse: Richard Ohde, his children: Laura Garret-Melendez (daughter), Benjamin Ohde, Alexander Ohde, and Seth Ohde, with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and cousins . He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
