Harmon Switzer

Harmon Duane Switzer, of Lakeside Village on Lake Whitney, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in a San Antonio hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Friday, March 21, 2014 at Lil' bit of Boot Scootin in Blum, Texas.

H. D. Switzer, known to most as "Switzer", was born March 5, 1943 in Coleman, Texas to Winford M. Switzer and Mary Estella Harding Switzer. He retired from the Elevator Industry 17 years ago and spent the last 20 plus years in Lakeside Village where he made his home and enjoyed his motorcycle shop, and where he spent most of his time. Switzer was a loving dad and granddad who never met a stranger. He is survived by his sons, Gary Switzer and wife, Julie, and Kevin Switzer and wife, Rita, all of Millsap; his sister, Wanda Owens and husband, Larry, of Richardson; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and a group of many dear friends who made his life so adventurous.
