Glinda (Hernandez) Henrise

DeSoto, Texas

Glinda Henrise, age 69 of DeSoto, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

She was the beloved wife of James T. Henrise.

Glinda was born in Dallas, Texas on September 5, 1951 and grew up in Dallas and in later years resided in Walnut Springs where she met and married the love of her life, James.  She was the daughter of Teresa Hernandez and the late John P. Hernandez. She attended Dallas public schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She then went on to attend community college for several years. She worked as a Microfilm Technician in Dallas, Texas for several years until she left employment to devote herself to her family on a full-time basis.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, James T. Henrise, her children Angelina Henrise and husband (Randall), Elizabeth Henrise-Brackenridge and husband (Tommy), Stephanie Henrise, Michelle Henrise and husband (Kelly), Kathyleen Henrise-Griggs and husband (Kirk), sons James Henrise and Eric Henrise. Her extended daughters Sabrina and Cynthia. Her  grandchildren Johnathan Stack and wife (Vicki), Kody Stack, Neils Bonilla, Lilly Bonilla, Marcello Bonilla,  Austin Brackenridge and wife (Sierra), Dillon Brackenridge, Katelyn Brackenridge, James,Candice,Tyler, Skyler, Avery, Stone Henrise, Eric and Devyn Henrise, Travis and Kade Matchett, Presley Pena, Justin, Paul and Ruby Griggs, Benjamin and Amilia Walker, Great Grandchildren Khloe, Sadie,Millie, Addison. Glinda also leaves behind her mother, Teresa Hernandez of Meridian, Texas, and her sister Judy Smith and niece Lisa of Plano, Texas. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John P. Hernandez and her Granddaughter Blair Roze Henrise.

Glinda was an incredibly strong, loving and creative person who loved spending time with and serving her family. She made her family her lifes work. She enjoyed crafting, drawing, cooking. She was well-known for her creative birthday parties and her handmade crafts for the family during the holidays. Glinda was dedicated to reaching out to serve and love her friends and family even while she was challenged with her illnesses. She touched the heart of so many and her legacy will continue through the love she shared.

The funeral and burial will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at noon.
