Glenda Joy Chesshir age 61, of Dallas and Cranfills Gap, passed away on February 6, 2022 at her residence in Dallas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the St. Olaf Lutheran Rock Church. Burial will be in the St. Olaf Lutheran Rock Church Cemetery. Pastor Brian Barrett will officiate. Pallbearers will be Micky Scott, Jr., Jeff Cappon, Russell Wiese, Gary Finstad, Terry Finstad and Owen Carlson.
Glenda was born on June 7, 1960 in Long Beach, California to Glen and Delma Fox Chesshir. She graduated from Denison High School and Texas Women's University with a degree in Business Administration. She lived in California and New York before returning to Texas to join her family's business, Chesshir Stone and Rock Supply. Glenda loved her dogs and horses. She was an avid rider and barrel racer. She also enjoyed snow skiing and traveling.
Left to cherish memories of her are her loving father, Glen Chesshir; aunt and uncle, Thelma and Buck Bennett; cousins, Sharon Woods, Isaac Bennett, Joe Marshall, Chastidy Scott, Micky Scott, Jr., Becky Parrish and Doug North.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Delma Joy Chesshir; aunts, Dixie Davis, Rhonda Jo Marshall, Barbara North and Rena Faye Proffitt; uncles, Barney Davis, Chuck Marshall and Max Proffitt; and cousins, Vickie Scott Haley, Johnny Haley, Pansy Scott, Micky Scott, Sr. and Roger Proffitt.
