Gary B. Orfield, (Grandad) 84 of Morgan, met his heavenly Father on June 24, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 28, 1937 in Bristol, Virginia to Joseph and Marjorie Orfield. Garyjoined the Navy in 1955 and proudly served our country, he then moved to Lewisville, Texas where he met Jean Pilant and they were married June 7, 1957 . Gary was an electrician by trade and had owned his electrical business for several years before working for Braniff Airlines and retiring with Brown & Root, Inc. in 1989. Gary moved to Morgan, Texas in 1980 where he lived for 40 years and he purchased Orfield's Grocery in 1989. He ran the business that he loved for 15 years before retiring again. Gary loved Morgan and Bosque County beyond words and told complete strangers that there was not a better place to live. Gary loved spending time with his family and volunteering anywhere he could. In his early years he served on the Southlake, Texas VFD for 5 years and the Morgan VFD for 20 years. Gary was a member of the Morgan Baptist Church for many years and the Bosque County Cowboy Church as well as the Bosque County Baptist Association. Our Dad was a generous and loving man who just enjoyed living simple at his home with his cows and chickens. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and can rest peacefully now. His family who will miss him so very much everyday are his daughter Lisa Orfield and Debbie Evans of Weatherford, Texas, daughter Lori Orfield Smith and husband Mike of Comanche, Texas, granddaughter Kadi Smith Baize and husband Truman ofAbilene, Texas, Great grandsons Jett and Knox Baize, brother Phillip Orfield and his wife Linda of Gainesville, Fla, nephews Jay, Kyle and Paul Orfield all of Florida, niece Teresa EdwardsCapen of Conifer, Colorado, Uncle Reed Orfield of Jacksonville, Fla and numerous other relatives and friends. Proceded in death by his parents Joseph Orfield and Madorie Sawyer Orfield, wife of 20 years Jean Pilant Orfield, wife of 32 years Wanda Orfield and wife of 9 years Shirley Orfield. Gary suffered with Dementia, please donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at the Morgan Baptist Church
