Frances Esterell Allen, age 90.of Clifton, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014, in a Clifton care facility.

Her pallbearers were Thomas Allen Martin, Frank Martin, Angela Brown, John Nobis, Mike Campbell and Russell Morgan.
Esterell was born November 24, 1923, in Meridian. She was a daughter of the late George L. B. Allen and Lula Frances Stork Allen. She lived in an actual log cabin from an early age until she was around 11 years old. Her love of the country and agriculture kept her on the family farm. The farm was a joy for her and she spent long hours working the soil and tending farm animals. Esterell worked very hard, but never seemed to mind because this was her gift; beauty she saw every day in the rising of the sun, the singing of the birds, beautiful flowers, and the chores to be done. Esterell's word was the same as a signed contract. Her morals were impeccable and was never known to swear, say any form of foul word, lie, cheat, or do anything that would be dishonoring to herself or her family. She had a truly pure and beautiful soul. She gave of her time unselfishly and with grace, and was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her brother, William Allen, of Clifton; sister, Elenora Ann Campbell of Waco; several nephews and nieces, including Joyce Nobis of Waco and Linda Martin of Grapevine, and nephew, Mike Campbell, of Waco.
