Foster Hinds

Foster Hinds, age 86, of Meridian, passed away Friday evening, May 5, 2017, at the home of a son, Clifton Hinds, near Whitney,

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 9, 2017, in the Morgan Cemetery. Brandon Carter and Bryce Donaldson will officiate. A visitation will be held at the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel from 5 to 7 P.M. on Monday, May 8, 2016.

Foster was born Oct. 22, 1930, in Williamson County, Texas. He was a son of Burnice H. Hinds and Vergie Verda Talley Hinds. On Jan. 28, 1953, he was united in marriage to Earline Petty in Marble Falls, Texas. The couple lived in Brady for some 20 years before moving to Meridian in 1971. Foster was a retired truck driver and a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Meridian.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Darlene Bice (Marvin) of Anchorage, Alaska,
Robert Hinds (Nita) of Brady, Dean Hinds (Mary) of Granbury, Clifton Hinds (Regina) of Whitney, Donnie Hinds (Charlene) of Cranfills Gap and Ronnie Hinds (Shawna) of Meridian; sister, Brenda Estes of Brady; his 20 year partner, Gretchen Eicker of Meridian; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnice and Vergie Hinds; wife, Earline Hinds; brother, Pete Hinds, sisters, Pauline Daughtery and Geneva Evans; a grandson,
Robert Hinds, Jr.
