Doris Brillhart

Doris R. Brillhart, age 87, of Kopperl, Texas, passed away Thursday evening, Nov. 30, 2017, at Providence Hospital in Waco.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Tater Paschal officiating. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Lawson Funeral Home.

She was born in Spry Pennsylvania on February 5, 1930. She was raised in York Pennsylvania until she met her first husband, Norman C. Kile Jr. Together they had 6 children Linda,Norman, Deborah,Darla, Sherion, and John. In 1954 she was widowed and raising the 6 children. In 1956 she met and married Richard E. Brillhart of York, PA. Together they had 3 children, Todd, Teresa, and Richard II. They lived happily as a huge family in Mount Wolf, Pa. Doris was primarily a housewife all of her life. She loved to crochet anything she put her mind to. Her hobbies was garage selling, crocheting, and learning about the lord. She was widowed for a second time in 2010. She loved the lord with a passion. She could be found her last days watching Jimmy Swaggart and reading her bible. Anytime she had a chance to preach to someone she would take the opportunity. We can all rest easy knowing she is clearly in the hands of the lord. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Linda Mann of PA., Norman Kile of PA., David and Darla Mandrell of Blum, Deborah Poet of PA., John and Jane Kile of LA., Todd and Diana Brillhart of Kopperl, Teresa Sheffer of Kopperl, Richard Brillhart, II of PA.; sister, Phyllis Foley and husband, Robert, of PA., 32 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; and 60 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Brillhart; daughter Sherion Harvey; granddaughter, Robin Lynn Ellis; great-grandsons, Mathew Sheffer, Eric Grimm, Jr., and Stevie Meeks; great-granddaughter, EllaRae Hope Giddens; and great-great-grandson, Jeremiah LeValley.
