Donny Lee Timms

Donny Lee Timms age 79 of Cleburne, passed away surrounded by family on August 9, 2019 at his residence.

Graveside funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Morgan Cemetery. Rev. Richard Creech will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. at Lawson Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2019. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Gossett, Ken Milligan, Buzz Dulick, Tom Hatch, Luis Marino, and Bobby Timms, Jr. Masonic graveside rites will be performed by the Kopperl Masonic Lodge #292.

Donny Lee Timms was born on February 14, 1940 in Morgan, Texas to Albert Timms, Sr. and Alene Cook. He was raised and educated in Morgan, Texas. After graduation he went to work on the Dulick Ranch for a number of years before finding his dream job at Johns-Manville in 1964. While working for Johns-Manville he traveled all over the world building plants. In 2000 he retired after numerous years of faithful service to the Johns-Manville. During his free time he enjoyed hunting, listening to music and sitting around barbequing with family and friends. He was a member of the Kopperl Masonic Lodge # 292. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Deirdre Matus and husband, Steve, of China Spring, DeAnne Derrick and husband, Richard, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Rebecca Word of Waco, Dayna Fain and husband, Kody, of Eastland; great-grandchildren, Brayden Word, Riley Smith, and Harrison Fain; brother, James Charles Timms and wife, Barbara, of Oklahoma; number of other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert Timms, Jr. and Bobby Timms; and sister, Alice Marie Timms.
