Meridian

Donna O'Neal, born on September 24, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, departed this world unexpectedly but peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Meridian, Texas. Donna was a beacon of love and positivity, whose nurturing spirit touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

Donna spent most of her life in Fort Worth working and raising her family. After moving to Bosque County, to take care of her elderly parents, Donna began working at Sulak's in Clifton before transitioning to Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian, and later moving to Clifton Funeral Home. Her commitment to service was evident in her chosen profession, where she provided comfort and compassion to those in need.

Education played an important role in Donna's life, as she proudly graduated from Richland High School. Throughout her life, she remained firm in her faith and active in her church's youth group and Bible study, serving as a guiding light for many. She brought joy to her family and friends, always making them feel special and loved. Donna’s greatest passion was her family, which she treasured above all else.

She took immense joy in the activities of her grandchildren and found happiness in all things related to her beloved dog, Abby, who was her constant companion. Family gatherings were enriched by her presence, as she enjoyed every moment spent with her sons and their families.

Donna is survived by her two cherished sons, Michael Shane Giles and his wife Tiffiney, and Stephen Chad Giles and his wife Angie. She was a proud grandmother to Lyndsie Ramirez and her husband Mark, Brandon Flowers and his fiancée Lauren, Bailey Brandt and her husband James, and Mattison Pamplin. Additionally, she adored her granddaughters Kendall and Sydney, as well as her precious great‑grandchildren Wyatt and Wren Ramirez, and Pyper Brandt; she is also survived by her Bosque County family, Annie, Zac, Savannah, baby Paris, Sophie, Eden, and Shelia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E Ray and Billie M Ray, as well as her biological parents, Donal Franklin Farrell and Melba Joyce Fulton, and her stepfather, JK Fulton. Each of these individuals held a significant place in her heart and shaped the compassionate woman she became.

The community will gather to celebrate and honor Donna's life on February 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a memorial service taking place at Cranfills Gap Baptist Church located at 13372 Hwy 22, Cranfills Gap, TX.
