Donald James "Donnie" Britton age 47, of Lakeside Village passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Kopperl United Methodist Church with Rev. Kent Berry officiating. Burial will follow at the Kimball Cemetery near Kopperl. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Brian Britton, Dylan Glass, Jimmyjohn Glass, Paul Slezak, Shawn Luttrell, and Roy Miller.

Donald James Britton was born on July 29, 1971 in Dallas, Texas to Donald Glenn and Vickie Lynn Miller Britton. Donald spent the first 3 years of his life living in Bremen, Germany. In his early teens he went to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch. He then graduated from Cedar Hill High School. Donnie was a very hard worker who was a sheet metal mechanic, a profession he learned from his dad. He installed and serviced commercial as well as residential air conditioners. He could do just about anything. He was married to Crystal Britton for 26 years and together they have 3 beautiful daughters, Carisa, Victoria, and Shelby. Donnie was a resident of Lakeside Village. He loved to fish and participate in all kinds of boating activities. Donnie loved to scrap metal in his free time. He also enjoyed having a cold beer and popsicles with his family after a long day's work. Donnie just enjoyed being outside. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. He will truly be missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Carisa Luttrell and husband, Shawn, of Keene, Victoria Britton and Paul Slezak, of Fort Worth, Shelby Britton of Lakeside Village; granddaughters, Allison, Kaylee, and Riley Luttrell all of Keene, Brandi Britton and Brayle Britton of Lakeside Village; mother, Vickie Britton of Lakeside Village; sister, Gina Glass and husband, Jimmyjohn, of Bristol; nephews, Brian Britton and wife Chelsea, Dylan Glass; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Miller of Midlothian; and Crystal Britton; numerous other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Donald Glenn Britton; maternal grandfather, Roy Leslie Miller, and paternal grandparents John and Bessie Britton.
