Don Hale Harper age 81, of Walnut Springs, passed away in Glen Rose, Texas on January 10, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M., March 20, 2021 at Lawson Memorial Chapel in Walnut Springs. Bro. Richard Creech will officiate.
Don Hale Harper was born on May 18, 1939 in Clifton, Texas to Raymond Paul and Leola Stapp Harper. He went to school in Morgan and Walnut Springs until the 11th grade when he decided to follow in his father's footsteps working as a carpenter. He also served his county in the United States Army. Don branched out of the carpentry business and operated a gas station for a brief period. Don got back into carpentry in his later years working around the Metroplex area. Walnut Springs was always home to Don and he truly loved his small town life.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Troy Don Harper and wife, Tabitha, of Barnhart, MO; grandsons, Travis and Tyler Harper; siblings, Doris San Martino of Euless, Nell Newberry of Cleburne, Mary Ann Parton-Schrank of Clifton, Charles Harper of Cadet, MO, Kay Offutt of Walnut Springs, and Darlene Gallagher of Arlington; other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd Francis Harper; and son, Donald Aaron Harper.
Arrangements were made by Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
