Daniel Allen Jones

Daniel Allen Jones, age 49, passed away at his home in Wylie, Texas on October 26, 2024. He was born to Ronald Glenn Jones and Sue Jones on December 23, 1974 in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in Laguna Park, Texas. Daniel is survived by his wife, Misty Cox, his mother, Sue Jones Root and her husband, Richard; children Cody Cox, Joshua Cox and his fiancé Maria Cox, Samantha Cox and her boyfriend Brenden, Jacob Cox, Sgt. Timberly Golz and her husband Spec. Zachary Golz; one sister, Karla Childers and her husband Rubin Felan, one brother, Ronald Glenn Jones and his wife Kristina, one step-sister, Jennifer Root, and one step-brother, Donovan Root and his wife Crystal; and six grandchildren, Emily, Lily, Everleigh, Kinsey, Evi and Levi. Danny is also survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous friends who will miss his love and laughter. Danny's love for his family and friends was apparent with his willingness to be with them in good and bad times. He was an avid fisherman, and love nothing more than fishing with his friends, family or in solitude. He was proud of his catches - but just as proud to "catch and release," allowing the fish to swim another day. He posted his amazing pictures of the 50-pound catfish that he caught, kissed them, and let them live. Danny was a plumber by trade, and he loved his job and his boss. He was highly regarded by his coworkers and clients. He will be missed by many friends and family.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 2 P.M., Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery near Laguna Park, Texas.
