On March 2, 2023, with family by her side, Connie Sue Townley joined her loving husband of 45 years, Kenneth Townley, at their home in heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Meridian United Pentecostal Church. Bro. Phil Murphy and Bro. Dewayne Sims will officiate. Visitation will take place from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian.
Connie was born in Clifton, Texas on April 28, 1950. She grew up on the Flat Top Ranch and lived most of her life in Walnut Springs, Texas. Connie loved with an unconditional, non-judgemental kind of love. If you knew her, you were family. She was a devoted Christian and spent many days taking her grandkids and other children in the community to Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and all other church events. She was the happiest when her family was by her side listening to the gospel.
Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Townley; parents; Tillman and Dorothy "Avo" Cain; sister, Lajuan Sojourner; brother, Wayne Cain; and son-in-law, Ronald "Ronnie" Gilmore.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Mohler and spouse, Jay; son, Terry Townley and spouse, Melissa; grandchildren, Tillman Townley and spouse, Alicia, Shelby Bailey and spouse, Leigh, Brooke Doyle and spouse, Chance, Colby Townley, Cameron Townley, Corey Townley, and Brock Gilmore and spouse, Megan; great-grandchildren, Taytum, Casen, Josiah, Reagan, Carter, Colt, Paisley, Seth and Tony; and brother, Dennis Cain and spouse, Janie; numerous other relatives and a host of friends she called family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
