Charles Max Reese age 96 of Meridian, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 in a Clifton nursing facility.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Morgan Cemetery in Morgan, Texas. Family members will conduct the service. Mr. Reese will lie in state at the funeral home from 8 A.M. until 1 P.M., Monday, October 21, 2019.
Charles Max Reese was born on December 22, 1922 in Dallas, Texas to Grady W. and Tita Mae McSpadden Reese. He grew up and went to school in San Antonio, Texas. After highschool he went to Texas A&M University. He then joined the United States Air Corps and flew the P-38. After serving his country he returned to Morgan, Texas to live the life of a farm and rancher and also working for TxDot. He retired from TxDot after several years of faithful service. Charles was a loving father, wonderful husband, and perfect grandfather. He will truly be missed.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Beckey Reese of Meridian; children, Butch Reese and wife, Vicky, of Glen Rose, Jane R. Popst of Plano, Lorna R. Thurston of McKinney; grandchildren, Barrett Popst of Frisco, Reese Popst of Wichita, Kansas, Christy Wilson of McKinney, Alan Reese of Tomball, and Charles A. Reese of Portland, Oregon; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Grady W. and Tita Mae McSpadden Reese; and son, John Reese.
