Charles Eugene Blakley

Charles Eugene Blakley, 89, retired from the Department of Defense passed from this earth, April 2, 2025, at his home in Iredell.

He was born November 26, 1935 in Stephenville, Texas to Jack and Vinita Blakley.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years Doris Fillingim Blakley; son Brian Eugene and wife, Karen Annette Heys; grandsons, Robert Joseph Boyle and Steven Michael Boyle; great-grandchildren, Madison Nicole and Jackson Grant Boyle; numerous other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life will be April 8th, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Iredell. Pastor George Grant and Bruce Fillingim will officiate. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Charles' name to: 

First United Methodist Church of Iredell or Iredell Volunteer Fire Department
