Brenda De Los Santos, 66, of Rio Vista, Texas, formerly of Meridian and Walnut Springs, passed away Sunday January 26, 2014 in Rio Vista, Texas.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M., January 29, 2014 at the Walnut Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Holladay officiating. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs. A visitation was held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Lawson Memorial Chapel, corner of 6th and Norway streets in Walnut Springs. Pallbearers were Elisha McGahey, Luis Guzman, Sky Vara, Joey Guzman, Wayson Conner, Bill Guzman, Tony Conner, and Frank Serratta.
Mrs. De Los Santos was born May 20, 1947, in Seymour, Texas, a daughter of Eugene Leon Conner and Mattie Evalena Blankenship Conner. She attended schools in various parts of Texas. On July 2, 1968, she married Johnny De Los Santos in Ogallala, Nebraska. After coming back to Texas and Meridian, she and her husband raised their children and enjoyed the children's many activities. She worked as a nursing aide in various nursing homes and was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny De Los Santos, of Rio Vista; children, John Michael De Los Santos and wife, Melissa of Rio Vista, Patricia Gomez and husband, Charles, of Rio Vista, and Joe Manuel De Los Santos of Meridian; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eugenia Ann Covey of Mart, Larna Gay McGahey of Kingston, Oklahoma, Mary Jo Katherine Vara of Walnut Springs, Margie Carol Vara of Walnut Springs, and Mattie Laura Archer of Kopperl; brothers, Robert Earl Conner of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, David Ike Conner of Walnut Springs, Daniel Leon Conner of Morgan, and Hershel Woods Conner of Waco.
Mrs. De Los Santos was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Mattie Conner; daughter, Glenda Faye De Los Santos; and a brother, John Dolphus Conner.
