Bobby was born on October 19th, 1935, to James “Jim” and Lena Mae Morris. The sixth out of seven boys, he was raised alongside his brothers in Lakeside Village and Kopperl, Texas.

At the age of sixteen, he began one of his first jobs in building highway 56. While working, within the next few years in September of 1956, he would meet Jo Ann Garrison. They were married on January 25th, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, at the Irwindale Methodist Church.

In 1959, he started working for Safeway Stores, (in where Jo Ann found out that she was having baby Russell the very day he learned he had gotten the job), and he continued that job for the next 28 years. When Safeway shut their doors, he began working at Kopperl ISD for 14 years, where he would also retire. Being a man that could never sit still, he not long after came out of retirement and worked for Bosque County Precinct One for the next nine years, and retired for the second time in 2014. He was of Baptist faith, a member of the Teamsters Union, and a devoted member to his community.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jo Ann, of Kopperl; son Russell Morris and wife Pam, of Kopperl; daughter Karen Morris Cormier, of Kopperl; granddaughters Brittnie Morris-St. Peter and husband Tom, of Whitney; Kallie Morris-Younger and husband Cole, of Kopperl; Haley Morris-Cormier, of Kopperl; great-grandchildren Rustin Code St. Peter and Andie Beth St. Peter, of Whitney; brother Donald Morris and wife Mirtie, of Oklahoma; and a vast number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Densil “Sonny”, Deris “Brother”, Deral “Babe”, Billy Dalton, Darwin “PeeWee”, and nephew Jimmy “Jimbo” Morris.

Serving as his pallbearers are Terry Morris, Mike Morris, Todd Bourquin, Jason Morris, Cole Younger, and Tom St. Peter.

His honorary pallbearers are Jimmie Bachhofer, Jimmy Bachhofer, Billy Ray Forsythe, and Mike McNeal.

A loving husband, daddy, PawPaw, great-grandpa, and friend... above all he was a good man to no end.
